Ingredients

  • Bottom layer:
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 5 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 3/4 C graham crumbs
  • 1 C coconut
  • 1/2 C walnuts
  • Second layer:
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vanilla custard powder
  • 2 C icing sugar
  • Top layer:
  • 2/3 C semi-sweet chocolate (4 oz)
  • 2 tbsp butter

Preparation

Step 1

Bottom layer: Melt first 3 ingredients. Add eggs and stir to cook and thicken. Remove from heat. Stir in crumbs, coconut and nuts. Press firmly into ungreased 9x9" pan.

Step 2

Second layer: Cream butter and milk together. Add custard and icing sugar. Beat together till smooth. Spread over first layer.

Step 3

Top layer: Melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Cool. Spread over second layer. Chill in fridge.

Step 4

Use sharp knife to cut into squares.
