Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 thinly sliced red onions( roughly 5 cups)
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 hot dogs
- 700 g pkg store bought pizza dough
- 1tbsp olive oil divided
- 11/2 cup grated mozerella cheese ( or your fav cheese!)

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook 1min. Reduce heat to low. Stir in salt and sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally til they turn dark brown roughly 25 to 30 min. If they start to stick add water. Transfer to plate
Step 2
Return pan to burner over medium heat. Crumble hot dogs into pan. Cook, stirring often to break up the meat, until lightly browned, three to four min. Drain on paper towel.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 425f. Lightly brush a large baking sheet with a tsp of olive oil
Step 4
Roll dough out into a 12-in. Circle on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to baking sheet, pressing to fill whole sheet. Brush with remaining oil. Top dough with toppings
Step 5
Bake in centre of oven until edges are golden and crispy. Roughly 20-25 minutes. Cut into eight wedges
To not cry while cutting onions run under cold water
