Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cup Flour
- 3 1/2 t Baking Powder
- 1/2 t Salt
- 4 T Shortening
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Apples (chopped fine)
- 1 cup Milk
- Sprinkle Mixture:
- 2 T Sugar
- 1/2 t Cinnamon
- 1/2 t Nutmeg

Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in large bowl.
Step 2
Cream shortening, sugar and egg in a separate bowl.
Step 3
Add flour mixture and milk alternately into sugar mixture. Fold in apples. Grease muffin pans and fill with mixture. It should make around 20 muffins. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture on top of muffins. Bake at 425 degrees.
