- 1 Cup Shortening
- 1 Cup Brown sugar
- 1 Cup Molasses
- 4 Cups Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1/4 tsp Cloves

Preparation
Step 1
Mix shortening, brown sugar and molasses
Step 2
Add 1/2 Cup hot water and 2 tsp salt
Step 3
Mix in flour, salt, nutmeg, ginger and cloves
Step 4
Mix and put in refrigerator until chilled
Step 5
Roll out and bake for about 8 minutes in 325 oven
