Great for breastfeeding moms. A great tasting cookie that also improves milk production. It really works. I am breast feeding my 3 month old & my 21 month old and it helps me to produce lots of milk for both of them.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of water
  • 2 tablespoons of flax seed meal (don’t skip this step, and no substitutions!)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 cups of steel cut oats
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons of brewer's yeast or 2 tbsp of active dry yeast

Preparation

Step 1

1 Preheat oven to 350°.
2 Mix the flaxseed meal and water and let sit for 3-5 minutes.
3 Cream the butter, sugar, and brown sugar.
4 Add eggs and mix well.
5 Add flaxseed mix and vanilla, mix well.
6 Sift together flour, brewer’s yeast, baking soda, and salt.
7 Add dry ingredients to butter mix.
8 Thoroughly stir in oats and chocolate chips.
9 Scoop onto baking sheet, approximately 1” balls.
10 Bake for 12 minutes.
11 Allow cookies to set for a few minutes before removing from tray.
