Ingredients

  • 16 slices Bread_ crusts removed
  • 8 slices Canadian back bacon or ham
  • 8 slices Sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/4 teas. pepper
  • ½ teas. Dry mustard
  • 2 tbs. Green onion_ finely chopped
  • 2 tbs. Red pepper_ finely chopped
  • 1 teas. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ C. Milk
  • ¼ C. Margarine
  • Corn flakes_crushed

Preparation

Step 1

Set 8 pieces of bread into a 9" x 13" buttered, glass baking dish

Step 2

Cover bread with meat

Step 3

Lay slices of cheddar cheese on top of bacon and then cover with remaining slices of bread ( like a sandwich)

Step 4

In a bowl, beat eggs and pepper

Step 5

To the egg mixture, add dry mustard, onion, red pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and milk

Step 6

Pour over the sandwiches, cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 7

In morning, preheat oven to 350 °

Step 8

Melt butter and pour over the top of the casserole

Step 9

Cover with crushed Corn Flakes

Step 10

Bake, uncovered for 1 hour and let sit 10 minutes before serving
