Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c biscuit baking mix
- 6T chilled butter, divided
- 3/4 c milk
- 1 c shredded cheddar cheese
- 1T garlic powder, divided
- 1/8 t salt
Preparation
Step 1
Combine biscuit mix and 4 tablespoons butter in a bowl; mix with fork just until crumbly.
Step 2
Stir in milk, cheese and 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder just until combined.
Step 3
Drop batter onto ungreased baking sheets by 1/4 cupfuls. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-17 minutes, until golden.
Step 4
Meanwhile, melt remaining butter; combine butter with salt and remaining garlic powder in a small bowl.
Step 5
Brush hot biscuits generously with butter mixture. Serve warm. Makes one dozen.
Add additional garlic powder or salt to taste
