1 1/2 cups flour
3 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Sift together first 4 ingredients. Cream together butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Pour batter into greased and floured 8x8 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

You can also make cupcakes. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
