- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1 egg - slightly beaten

Mix together all of the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a large mixing bowl.
In a different bowl, whip together the beaten egg, oil, and buttermilk.
Add egg mixture all at once, not gradually, and mix together into a lumpy batter.
Pour about ¼ cup batter onto a hot greased griddle. Cook on medium heat for 1 minutes on each side until golden Denny’s brown.
A good indication that its time to flip is bubble around the edges of the batter.
