Caramel French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 12 slices or 8 cups bread, cubed
  • Caramel Sauce:
  • 2 T corn syrup
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • Egg mixture:
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c milk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1/4 t salt

Preparation

Step 1

Put cubed bread in well greased 9 x 13 pan.

Step 2

Simmer caramel ingredients until melted and syrupy; pour over bread layer.

Step 3

Pour egg mixture over bread and caramel layers.

Step 4

Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

Step 5

Bake, covered with foil, 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Step 6

Serve with syrup if desired.
