Ingredients

1 cup Butter - Softened
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Hot Water
1.2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
3 cups Flour
2 cups Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2

Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs 1 at a time, then stir in vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add along with salt and cream of tartar. Stir in flour and chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto large ungreased pans.

Step 3

Bake about 10 minutes or until edges start to brown.
