Fettucine Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettucine, cooked
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 c parmesan
  • 1/2 c whipping cream or evaporated milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Preparation

Step 1

In sauce pan, melt butter; blend in cheese and whipping cream. Heat to nearly boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce to low.

Step 2

Stir small amount of hot cream mixture into egg; then pour egg mixture into saucepan. Cook over LOW heat, stirring constantly until heated through - about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Toss with fettucine.

You may substitute fettucine for linguine, spaghetti or other shapes that will hold a sauce well.
