Ingredients
- 1/4 c Parmesan cheese, grated
- 3 T butter, softened
- 1 Garlic clove, presses
- 8 slices French or sourdough bread
- 8 oz Monterey Jack,or Provolone sliced
- 8 oz deli ham or turkey, sliced
- 4 t honey mustard or Dijon
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
- 4 t fresh basil or cilantro, snipped (optional(

Preparation
Step 1
Combine the Parmesan, butter and garlic.
Step 2
On the 1/2 of the bread slice, layer half of the Monterey and then all of the ham. Spread ham with 1 t mustard; top with 2 tomato slices and 1 t basil. Cover with remaining cheese and bread slice.
Step 3
Spread butter mixture on outside of sandwich. Cook on griddle 4-5 minutes per side
