  • 4 oz white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 4 beaten egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup cake flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 4 egg whites that are stiffly beaten.

Preparation

Step 1

Melt chocolate in boiling water, cool. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at time, and beat well. Add melted chocolate and vanilla, mix well together. sift together flour, salt, and soda. add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture. Beat well.

Step 2

Beat until smooth. Fold in whites. Pour in pan and bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.
