Ingredients
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
1.Preheat oven to 350°.
2.Sift flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
3.Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla until completely incorporated. Add flour mixture in 3 additions; scraping down the bowl after each addition. Mix in chocolate chips.
4.Either grease cookie sheets or cover in parchment paper.
5.Roll into 1 inch balls, then press slightly onto baking sheet. Thickness may vary, depending on preference.
6.Bake 8-10 minutes in preheated oven, watching carefully. Bake until bottoms of cookies just begins to turn golden.
7.Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before placing on wire racks.
