Preparation

Step 1

Drain pickle chips on paper towel and leave to soak in buttermilk for at least 20 minutes in refrigerator.

Step 2

Place a 2-inch deep pan on stovetop and add enough oil to coat the bottom. Turn on to medium-high heat while you prepare the pickle chips.

Step 3

Combine the dry ingredients in a shallow bowl, making sure to mix thoroughly. Add additional seasons here as you prefer.

Step 4

Combine the egg and milk in a separate dish, whisking until combined.

Step 5

Now, remove pickles from buttermilk, one at a time, dipping in the egg and coating in the dry mixture on both sides (feel free to double dredge for extra coating), and then slip pickles into the hot (not popping) oil.

Step 6

Allow pickles to fry until floating and slightly golden. Flip as you will, but keep in mind that Gluten Free flour does not brown as well as regular flour.

Step 7

Remove pickles and place on a paper-towel lined plate to drain.

Step 8

To prepare Sriracha dipping sauce: Combine equal parts Sriracha, Ketchup, and Mayo to taste and use as dip for your crunchy fried pickles.
