Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c honey maid graham craker crumbs
  • 1/3 c margarine or butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 c sugar, divided
  • 3 pkg philly cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c sour cream
  • (optional) 1 can cherry pie filling
  • bread pan full of water

Preparation

Step 1

preheat oven to 350. If using a dark notstick pan preheat to 325

Step 2

mix graham cracker crumbs, margarine, and 1/4 c of the sugar. Press firmly onto bottom and 2 1/2 in up side of pan. place pan of water in oven.

Step 3

beat cream cheese, remaining cup of sugar and vanilla in large bowl and mix until well blended.add eggs one at a time, mixing on low after each addition just until blended. add sour cream.

Step 4

while batter is being mixed place crust in oven for 4 min.

Step 5

take crust out of oven and pour batter into it. Bake 60-70 min or until center is almost set. turn off oven, leaving door slightly ajar. leave cheesecake in oven for 1 hour. remove from oven, cool completely. refrigerate for 4 hour or overnight.
