Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bacon chopped
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 red pepper chopped
  • 1 15oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 8.5 oz pkg corn muffin mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • Heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cook bacon til crisp
  • Cook ground beef, onions, and peppers in same skillet until beef is brown
  • Stir in tomato sauce
  • Cook for 3 minutes
  • Crumble bacon and add to meat mixture
  • Spoon into greased 13" x 9" baking dish
  • Prepare muffin mix and stir in cheese
  • Spoon over meat mixture
  • Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
