Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 1 1/4 cups berries
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Cake:
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • Sugar glaze(optional):
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 teaspoons water or milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease pan and dust with flour.

Step 2

Mix filling ingredients together and set aside.

Step 3

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda. In separate bowl cream together sugar, butter, vanilla, and egg until smooth. Gradually mix in the flour mixture and sour cream alternately until all combined.

Step 4

Spread 1/3 of the batter mixture into the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of the filling mixture over the batter. Then continue layers and finish with the batter.

Step 5

Bake for 55-65 mins or until toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let cool for 1 hr.

Step 6

Optional:
Make glaze and pour over the cake.
