- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp oil
- 1 Tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup cold water

Preparation
Step 1
put dry ingredients into a 9x9 inch glass baking dish
Step 2
make 3 wells and add oil to one, vinegar to another and vanilla to the 3rd
Step 3
pour water over and mix thoroughly with a fork
Step 4
bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees until toothpick comes clean
good all by itself or with a sprinkle of icing sugar
did it once as a white cake for strawberry shortcake - no cocoa and 3/4 cups sugar and less salt. Not bad!
