Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound of spaghetti noodles, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • 2 cups cottage cheese (or you can use ricotta cheese)
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 ½ cup spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl combine cooked noodles, butter, Parmesan cheese, 1 cup of cottage cheese and eggs. Spread into and up the sides of 8 by 8 pan or a 9 inch pie plates and set aside.

Step 2

In a pan, brown ground beef and onions until cooked. Drain off any fat and add spaghetti sauce to the meat. Mix well and set aside.

Step 3

Spread rest of cottage cheese over the noodle crusts. Then top with ½ cup of mozzarella cheese. Finally, spread meat mixture over the crust.

Step 4

Spread remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake uncovered, at 350 for 30 minutes or until set and cheese is melted.
Let sit for 5 minutes before cutting and serving. This helps it set up and will make it easier to serve.
