Fried Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1lb large shrimp peeled
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup beer
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • vegetable oil
  • pinch of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, cornstarch, and salt in bowl. Add beer, egg yolk, and butter in another and mix until smooth. Dip shrimp into wet ingredients then into dry ingredients. Fry shrimp in vegetable oil until they are a golden brown color.
