  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick margarine melted

Preparation

Step 1

Sift together cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt & baking powder.

Step 2

Add milk and egg and stir well.

Step 3

Add melted margarine and stir well.

Step 4

Pour into 2 greased 9 inch pans. Bake at 450 for 25 to 30 minutes until bread is golden brown.
