Preparation

Step 1

Using a long, thin kinfe, cut into the center of your chicken breast. Use your fingers to open the hole, and put you cheese into the breast. Next, insert a few strips of ham evenly into each piece. Season with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning and sear on each side over medium heat. Transfer pan to the oven to finish cooking on 350 for about 25 minutes.

To make the gravy: melt butter in a small skillet and add in garlic. Add flour and cook for a minute, then slowly add in your chicken stock and bring to a bubble. Add the dijon, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper to taste. Finish with choppped parsley.

When chicken is cooked through, slice at an angle and serve with a few heaping spoonfuls of gravy on top. Enjoy!
