Grandma Cindy's Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 small ripe bananas
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. crisco
  • Dash of salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients well and bake for 45 minutes.

Ripe bananas should have dark, not yellow skins to give bread the very best flavor. If you have a banana here and there that gets too ripe, just put in ziplock bag in freezer until you have enough to make bread.
