Great Grandma Reese's Poorman Pie

Whenever my mother had some leftover pie dough she would make this and I loved it. I think sometimes she made extra dough just so she could make this pie.

Ingredients

  • Leftover pie dough enough to cover bottom and up sides an inch
  • Dark Karo syrup
  • Butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Spread leftover pie dough on bottom and a little up the sides. Pour Karo syrup to adequately cover bottom and place 4 pats of butter on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes till syrup starts to bubble and crust is golden brown.
