Great Grandpa Reese's Opera Fudge

My dad used to make this fudge and it just melts in your mouth

Ingredients

1 lb. powdered sugar
1/4 lb. cream cheese
1/4 lb. real butter
1/4 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Soften cream cheese. Whip all ingredients together and chill in refrigerator. Roll into small bowls about the size of large marbles and put on wax paper lined cookie sheets. Chill.

Step 2

Put saucepan into skillet with enough water to come up 1" on saucepan. Melt 2 bags of semi-sweet chocolate chips with 2 TBS of crisco in saucepan over low heat stirring to melt. Place 1 ball on fork and dip. Tap to remove excess chocolate and return to wax paper. Place in refrigerator till chocolate is set. Remove and store in plastic container in refrigerator.
