Ingredients

  • 4 c sliced apples
  • 1 stick butter
  • ¼ c water
  • ¾ c flour
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 c sugar
  • Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Place apples in 10x6x2 baking dish.
Add ¼ c water
Sprinkle with salt, cinnamon and nutmeg (to taste)

In separate bowl mix together with masher butter, flour and sugar until it resembles crumble
Drop mixture over the apples
Bake 350* for 40 minutes

This recipe can easily be doubled.
I like to double the topping for added crunch.
Add slices of butter on top of the apples and before the topping to make it buttery tasting
