At this year's World Environment Day organized by the United Nations Environment Programme, one of the hot topics was about passive cooking, an alternative cooking technique for pasta that's existed since the mid-1800s. The debate came about after Italian pasta makers from the Unione Italiane Food commissioned a study on the environmental and energy impact of cooking pasta, and the results might surprise you.
