BREAKING: Fresh Produce Recalled from Shelves in 3 US States

(June 14, 2017) Recall due to potential listeria contamination in salad and slaw kits with leafy greens.

CC Kitchens is recalling a limited number of salad and slaw kits due to a possible health risk from Listeria, after its presence was identified in their facility.

No contamination has been reported in any product, nor have any illnesses been reported to date in association with the recall. The recall was declared as a cautionary measure and is being conducted in coordination with the FDA and USDA.

Products that fall into the recall were packaged by CC Kitchens from May 31 to June 5 and distributed through Kroger in Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia:

  • Chef Salad, 12.6oz (357g), 6/5/2017 through 6/10/2017
  • Chicken Bacon Cobb Salad, 13.1oz (371g), 6/5/2017 through 6/10/2017
  • Chef Side Salad, 9.4oz (266g), 6/5/2017 through 6/10/2017
  • Garden Salad, 11oz (312g), 6/5/2017 through 6/10/2017
  • Chicken Bacon Cobb Side Salad, 9.65oz (274g), 6/5/2017 through 6/10/2017
  • Fiesta Slaw, 10oz (283g), 6/7/2017 through 6/11/2017
  • Trail Slaw Kit, 40oz (1133g), 6/7/2017 through 6/11/2017
  • Asian Quinoa salad Kit, 80oz (2268g), 6/7/2017 through 6/11/2017
  • Beef Ponzu Kit, 40oz (1133g), 6/7/2017 & 6/8/2017
  • SouthWest Turkey Salad Kit, 40oz (1133g), 6/8/2017 & 6/10/2017

All retailers who received batches of these products have been notified and asked to pull any remaining units from their inventory and shelves.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
