Ingredients

  • 1 LB Ground beef
  • 4-5 Mild Italian sausage (optional)
  • 1/2 Red onion
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 Stick butter
  • 1/2 LB Mushrooms
  • 2 celery
  • 1/4 Cup red wine
  • 4 12oz Cans Italian stewed tomatoes
  • 1 12oz Can tomato sauce
  • 1 8oz Can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Tsp Minced garlic
  • 1/4 Tsp Peprica
  • 2 Tbs Italian seasoning
  • 1 Tbs Oregano
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 Tbs Salt
  • 1 Tsp Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meats with onion and bell pepper

Step 2

Add all cans of tomatoes and seasonings in a big pot

Step 3

Add the meats and bell pepper

Step 4

Stir thoroughly

Step 5

Simmer 1/2 hour

Step 6

Saute mushrooms and celery in butter

Step 7

Add mushrooms, celery and wine in the pot about the 1/2 hour

Step 8

Stir thoroughly

Step 9

Simmer 1/2 hour

Serve with garlic bread
