- 1 Stick Butter
- 1 Cup Coca Cola
- 3/4 Cup miniature Marshmallows
- 1 Square Semi Sweet Baking Chocolate
- 1/2 Cup Shortening
- 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 3/4 Cup Cocoa
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 3/4 Cup Buttermilk
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 2 1/3 Cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- Frosting
- 1 Stick Butter
- 1/2 Cup Cocoa
- 1/4 Cup Coca Cola
- 2 to 3 Tbl Coca Cola if needed
- 3 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/4 Cup Hersheys Chocolate Syrup

Preparation
Step 1
Cake
Place butter, coke and and semi sweet baking squares in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add marshmallows, stirring until blended and marshmallows disappear. Set aside to cool.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl blend shortening, oil, vanilla and sugar, until fluffy. Add eggs and buttermilk, mixing until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix flour with baking soda, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add half of flour mixture to shortening mixture and beat well. Add cooled Coca Cola mixture and beat. Add remainder of flour and beat until completely smooth, about 3 to 4 minutes. Mix well, batter will be thick.
Step 3
Place batter into 9x13x2 pan, floured and oiled. Set pan on top self of preheated oven at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
Step 4
Frosting
Cream butter. Add cocoa, vanilla, Hershey's Sryup and Coca Cola, beat until smooth. Add powdered sugar, a little at a time and beat constantly. If frosting seems a little dry add additional tablespoons of Coca Cola, adding 1 Tbl at a time, mixing well. Spread frosting over cooled cake.
Best if served with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

- 150g / 3/4 cup sugar
- 150g / 2/3 cup softened butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp fresh yeast
- 180g / 1 1/2 cups flour
- 190g / 1 1/2 cups chocolate, melted
- 4 pears
Method
- Combine sugar, butter and eggs in bowl. Mix well.
- Add fresh yeast and flour and mix through.
- Pour in melted chocolate and fold into mixture.
- Peel 4 pears (or as many comfortably fit in your baking pan)
- Pour chocolate mixture into lined or greased baking loaf pan.
- Evenly space the pears in the pan, sitting upright.
- Bake at 350°F / 180°C for 35 minutes.
- Drizzle with more melted chocolate, and serve.
