Gourmandize /gu̇r-mänd-īz/ : v. (without object) : to enjoy good food!

Gourmandize is a recipe sharing site fueled by member contributions. Launched in April 2013 by 750 Grams International, the creators of one of the largest cooking websites in France, 750g.com. Taking the same concept of sharing one’s culture, family and memories through food, Gourmandize and Gourmandize UK & Ireland were created with the same ideals.

The US and UK site’s names are both rooted with the word Gourmand, literally meaning a person who loves food. The suffix ‘ize’ was added because every member is able to personalize their profiles with interests, culinary adventures, as well as the ability to link each profile and submitted recipe to a personal food blog or website.

We also offer the opportunity to customize free cookbooks using our cookbook creator studio for our first active members. With the recipes our members submit, they can create mementos of culinary heritage in a book for themselves, family or friends.

Both sites are overseen by respective local webmasters along with a multinational team of food lovers representing seven different countries. Each contributing team member has a unique background and expertise in food, and is able to represent many of the rich and diverse cultures that keep America’s food scene thriving.
