Mother's Chicken and Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup AP flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes or good bunch of fresh chopped
  • Either a whole chicken or chicken pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Stew or bake chicken, cover with broth, enough to cook dumplings in - about an inch of liquid.

Step 2

Mix dry ingredients and add milk. Stir til well mixed. Drop by teaspoonful into boiling chicken covered with broth. Cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes. Do not stir.
