Ingredients

  • 8 - Golden Delicious Apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
  • 1/2 Cup - Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon of Corn Startch
  • 2 Tablespoons of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup - White Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup - Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon - Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon - Cinnamon
  • 1 Recipe Pastry for a 9 inch Double Crust Pie

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-Heat oven to 425 degrees

Step 2

Fit bottom crust in 9 inch pie pan.

Step 3

Melt butter on stove top.

Step 4

Stir in Corn Starch and All-Purpose Flour in to melted butter to form a paste.

Step 5

Add white and brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Bring to boil.

Step 6

Reduce temperature and let simmer.

Step 7

In a bowl, thoroughly mix your prepared apple slices with butter/sugar combo and then fill pie with it.

Step 8

Cover with top dough.

Step 9

Bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees.

Step 10

Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 35 - 45 minutes more. Take out and cool before serving.
