No-Cook Cherry Flavored Fluffy Frosting
This is a take-off of the famous Crisco,s Fluffy Frosting. The only difference is using almond extract in place if the vanilla. And, don't think you can use "just any" brand of shortening. It MUST be Crisco. I have tried it with others. Just doesn't work.....
- 2/3 c. Crisco brand shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 t. salt
- 1 T. almond extract
- 1- 2 pound bag of powdered sugar (7 1/2 cups)

Dissolve the 1 teaspoon of salt in the mild using a whip.
In another bowl place the shortening and almond extract, and the milk, gradually beating it on low and gradually adding the powder sugar a little at a time, scraping the bowl a few times in-between.
Increase the mixer speed and beat until very fluffy. Takes maybe 10 minutes for that.
