Ingredients

  • 4 Grated potatoes
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cooking oil
  • Optional:
  • Onions
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • Hotdogs
  • Cheese
  • Red peppers

Preparation

Step 1

Place grated potatoes in a sifter and rinse with water or soak for about an hour. Transfer to a large bowl

Step 2

Add the egg, salt, pepper and optional ingredients to the bowl. Mix

Step 3

Heat a shallow amount of oil on a skillet. Place an ice cream scoop of the potato mixture (about three depending on the size of your skillet) on the skillet

Step 4

Cook one side for about five minutes and flip to cook the other side until crunchy

Step 5

Place finished hashbrowns on a plate covered with a paper towel

Step 6

Serve and Enjoy!

A great addition to a breakfast of eggs, bacon, pancakes or whatever else you desire!
