Ingredients

  • OIL
  • 2 cups SELF-RISING CORN MEAL
  • 1/3 cup FLOUR
  • 1/2 c CHOPPED ONION
  • 1 unbeaten EGG
  • 1 Tbsp SUGAR
  • Dash or 2 GARLIC SALT
  • 1/2 tsp. LAWRY'S HOT AND SPICY SEASONING SALT
  • BEER or MILK

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 7 ingredients.
Mix well.

Step 2

Add beer or milk until batter is thick. (a lighter batter will make crispier puppies)

Step 3

Drop by spoonfull in hot oil until brown.
