RECALL: Imported Pork Products Were Not Inspected

(August 28, 2017) Class I Recall, Health Risk: High. Foreign products were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection

Ronald A. Chisholm, Ltd., a Toronto, Ontario establishment, is recalling approximately 12,169 pounds of skinless pork belly products that were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection.

Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.

Products Affected

The products were produced and packaged from June 27, 2017 to July 20, 2017. The following products are subject to recall: [Label]

  • Approximately 40-lb. cardboard box containing “FLANC PORC, PORK BELLY.”

Steps To Take

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.  

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup of chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp. of Mexican spice mix
  • 4 Tortillas
  • Cheddar
  • Salt, to taste

METHOD:

  1. Put shredded chicken breast, tomato sauce, chives, and mexican spice mix in a bowl and mix together.
  2. Lay out the tortillas. Place a slice of cheddar in the center, and cover with the chicken mix.
  3. Fold up tortillas, and heat in a frying pan until golden.
  4. Enjoy!
