Do Buy Frozen Fruits

Buying frozen berries and other fruit is a definite do, as they can be used in a multitude of recipes, including smoothies, cakes, pies, tarts, and salads, or as a sweet topping for toast or yogurt. They're likely to have been frozen at peak ripeness, so you won't lose out on important nutrients by using them. Not to mention, they'll allow you to eat your favorite fruits out of season. And because freezing fruits is a safe means to preserve them, you don't have to worry about unwanted additives—just check the labels to make sure they're the only ingredient.
