Carrie Bradshaw's Cosmopolitan from 'Sex and The City'

Over the years, the glitzy TV series, 'Sex and the City', has become a true nineties classic.

Decades on from since it first aired, millions of people still tune in to keep up with Carrie Bradshaw's antics as a glamorous fashion editor, living her best bacherlorette lifestyle in the Big Apple.

A typical accessory of her's was of course, a Cosmopolitan cocktail. Subsequently, it's become a go-to cocktail for city girls all over the world. Who needs New York bar prices when you can easily shake it up at home though? Here's the recipe:

Ingredients (for 2 people):

• 1 1/2 oz. vodka
• 1 oz. cranberry juice
• 1/2 oz. Cointreau
• 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
• 1 tsp lime zest

Instructions:

1. Put all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
2. Shake vigorously for 1 min.
3. Pour the mixture into a glass and add the ice. Garnish with lime zest.
4. The preparation could not be simpler. Simply put the ingredients in a shaker (can be in batches to serve each glass), and shake vigorously for 1 minute.
   Pour the mixture (without the ice) into a glass. You can also garnish with a little lime zest.
