Hello WhatIsCookingNow, so tell us...

When did you begin your blog, and what inspired you to start it?

I started my blog almost two years ago. I have loved to cook since I was little and decided to share what I was cooking with everyone on the internet. Each day I learn something new.

What is your earliest food memory?

My earliest food memory came from when I was about 3 or 4 years old. The first time I was introduced to artichokes. I have loved them ever since. I have a three year old girl and she has already had the artichoke experience.

Are you involved in the blogging community - how do you attract new readers?

I try to stay involved with the blogging community as much as I can. Facebook plays a large part in attracting new readers. I have received a lot of tips from the Foodie Friends Friday group. I also use other sites like Pinterest and Twitter as well.

You have a lot of recipes with Italian influences on your site, is it one of your preferred foreign cuisines?

I think pasta in general are one of my preferred cuisines. If it happens to be of Italian influence, so be it.

What is/are your go to recipe(s) if you’re preparing a last minute dinner or party?

Chicken. Chicken is versatile and can be seasoned and prepared in so many different ways. It can pretty much satisfy anyone's palette. Well except for vegetarians of course.

If you could be a contestant or guest on any cooking show what show would you choose?

Most people might go with "Chopped" but I think that I would love to be a guest on "The Chew." I love that kind of setting and it looks like they are always having so much fun. It would be a whole lot less pressure too! I would also love to work with Guy Fieri.

When you get home from a long trip do you have a go to dish you crave?

When I get home from a long trip, I usually want something quick and easy. There's not one thing in particular that I crave, just as long as it doesn't get the kitchen messy.

Is there any dish, ingredient or type of food you refuse to cook or eat?

Not really anything that I can think of. I don't make many sweet things, but I don't refuse to cook them. And I sure don't refuse to eat them either.

What are your goals for this blog? Where would you like to see it in the next year? Five years?

Eventually I would love to be able to focus more time and energy on my blog. If it could become a source of income, that would be amazing. For now, I just enjoy creating dishes and learning how to cook and take better pictures.

Anything else you would like to share?

I cannot wait for hockey season to start back!
