Hello Bessie Shalome, so tell us...
When did you begin your blog, and what inspired you to start it?
I started my blog in July 2011. My husband Shalome is the greatest & only one inspiration for me to start blogging. After enjoying all the dishes I make for him everyday, he suggested me to start a blog so that everyone can enjoy delicious dishes at home.
Are you involved in the blogging community - how do you attract new readers?
I will share in facebook, the new recipes I post in my blog.
Who are your culinary influences?
my mom, my sister, my husband (who tastes and comments) and now my 4 yr old has also joined the list.
If you could be a contestant or guest on any cooking show what show would you choose?
I choose both. I can be a contestant and sometimes a guest too.
What is your earliest food memory?
My mom's lemon rice
Do you have a secret ingredient, a product you use a lot that is unexpected?
Is there any dish, ingredient or type of food you refuse to cook?
Dishes that include beef, pork and vegetables that are not available in INDIA.
When you have a last minute get together, what are your go to dishes?
Rice, Sambhar, Pongal
What are your goals for your blog? Where would you like to see it in the next year? Five years?
I would be happy if my blog gets really popular among lots of people
