Hello Molly, so tell us...

When did you begin your blog, and what inspired you to start it?

I started Quiche-a-Week in May 2012 because I had just moved into a studio apartment on my own and I had no idea how to cook. As delicious as a diet formed solely on frozen vegetables and baby carrots may sound, it was not sustainable. Or very delicious. At all.

Are you involved in the blogging community - how do you attract new readers?

I have my moments. I utilize Reddit, Foodgawker, TasteSpotting, FindingVegan, and other sites that take two words and put them together to form one word.

What are your culinary influences?

Whatever crosses my mind for no apparent reason. It's weird.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to lead a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle?

Lay off the bread, pasta, and french fries. There are better things. Like literally everything else is better than those 3 things.

What is your earliest food memory?

I used to eat entire pints of ice cream when I was 12. When I wasn't busy eating explicit amounts of Taco Bell. I was a very busy preteen.

Do you have a secret ingredient, a product you use a lot that is unexpected or that helps you save time?

Ground flax seed. I use it everywhere on everything and I would probably eat it off someone's naked body.

Is there any dish, ingredient or type of food you refuse to cook? Or anything that you refuse to eat?

I had heirloom tomato aspic recently at a restaurant. It was the most horrendous thing I've ever eaten. I refuse to ever attempt it myself. That and almond butter makes me a little squeamish.

What are your goals for your blog? Where would you like to see it in the next year? Five years?

This is the job interview question that makes my blog most uncomfortable.

My worst food flop was...

Valentine's Day Peanut Butter Spinach Cakes. http://quicheaweek.wordpress.com/2013/02/12/valentines-day-peanut-butter-spinach-cakes-two-ways/

Anything else you would like to share?

You look great today. Have you lost weight?

Thank you Molly for answering our questions and see you soon!
