Easy Homemade French Bread
Makes two nice loaves of french bread. Perfect for sandwiches
- 2 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 Tbs yeast
- 3 Tbs sugar
- 2 Tbs vinegar
- 1 Tbs salt
- 1/3 cup oil
- 6-7 cups flour

Combine water, yeast, sugar and vinegar in a bowl. Set aside for 3-5 minutes until bubbly.
Add salt, oil and flour (one cup at a time), until the dough is firm but still soft enough to mold into loaves.
Knead for 10 minutes. Then, set aside to rise for 30 minutes. Punch down. Let rise 2-3 more times, punching it down every 30 minutes.
Separate dough into two loaf pans. Slash tops of bread diagonally and brush with egg wash. Let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees at this time.
Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes.
