This is an easy, go-to biscuit recipe for when you want a homemade flare to your biscuits instead of popping them out of a store-bought container.

  • 2 1/4 cups Baking Mix (Baker's Corner, Bisquick, etc.)
  • 2/3 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Place the baking mix and the milk into a bowl and stir together making a soft dough.

Step 2

Place your dough onto a floured surface and knead the dough for just a few minutes (do not over knead the dough).

Step 3

Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out to roughly 1/2 inch thickness. Using a cookie cutter (or a glass, anything circular), cut out the biscuits and place them on a greased baking sheet.

Step 4

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until a golden brown in color.

You can make drop biscuits with this dough as well. Instead of rolling the dough out and cutting it into biscuit circles, just plop the dough by the spoonful onto your greased baking sheet, then bake as directed for the biscuits.
