Hello Pam, so tell us...

When did you begin your blog, and what inspired you to start it?

I started my blog in 2008. My favorite hobbies are cooking, photography, and blogging so I decided to combine them and create a recipe blog. It has been a wonderful way to organize my recipes and share them at the same time.

How involved are you in the blogging community - how do you attract new readers?

I think social media is becoming more and more important to bloggers to get their name out there.

Who are your culinary influences?

Ina Garten, Tyler Florence, America's Test Kitchen, Cooking Light, Fine Cooking, Jamie Oliver

If you could be a contestant or guest on any cooking show what show would you choose?

I would love to hang out with Ina Garten and cook a meal together.

What is your earliest food memory?

Special occasions always meant going for pizza at our local pizzeria called Louies. They had the best pizza ever and still do.

What are your secrets to cooking low-fat but flavorful meals?

I use less butter and oil than recipes call for. I rarely cook with cream. I use lean meat and lots of veggies in my recipes and I also like to use sharp cheeses so I can use less but with lots of flavor.

Is there any dish, ingredient or type of food you refuse to cook? Or anything that you refuse to eat?

I have never and will never cook or eat veal. I just can't support the way they are raised.

Are there any vegetables that you could never live without? What are your favorite things to do with them?

Asparagus, tomatoes, onions, green beans, artichokes, spinach, kale, carrots, celery, and avocado. I absolutely love roasting veggies!

What are your goals for your blog? Where would you like to see it in the next year? Five years?

I started this blog as a way to save and organize recipes. I have loyal readers so it has grown much more than I ever expected or hoped. I am thankful for the great opportunities my blog gives me and also the ability to make money off of doing something I love so much. I plan on continuing to blog for as long as I love doing it.

Thank you Pam for answering our questions and see you soon!
