- Rice - 8 cup.
- Moong Dal(Passi paruppu) - 1 cup. (dry roast till hot)
- Channa dal(Kadala Paruppu) - 1 cup.(dry roast till hot)
- Salt and Asafoetida.
- Red chilli powder.
- Butter.
- Oil for frying
Monaharam (A sweet snack)

- Passi paruppu - 1 cup. (dry roast till hot)
- Kadala Paruppu - 1 cup.(dry roast till hot)

Mango and coconut pacchadi.

This is made for Varusha pirappu, which is Tamil new year
- 1. Raw Mango - 1/8 (cut and boil)
- Jaggery -1/2 cup
- 2 teaspoon Rice flour made into a paste with water.
- 2. Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Green chilly - 1
- Salt
- Buttermilk - according to choice (more if u need it watery or less if you need it thick)

- 1. Panagam
- Jaggery - 1 cup.
- Water - 3 cups.
- Dried Ginger powder (chukku) - 1 teaspoon.
- Cardamom powder- 1/2 teaspoon.
- Lemon - 1/2.
- 2. Neer more.
- Buttermilk - 1/2cup.
- Water 1 1/2 cups.
- Salt.
- Curry leaves (chopped).
- 3. Vada Paruppu.
- Moon dal (paasi paruppu) -1/2 cup rinse with water .
- Salt.

- Shredded raw Mango - 1 tablespoon.
- Shredded Coconut - 1 tablespoon.

Grind rice and Urad dal into a fine powder
- Rice - 8 1/2 cup
- Urad dal - 1 1/2 cup, dry roast till it is heated up and clean it in a soft cloth.
- Salt and Asafoetida.
- Jeera.
- Butter.
