Savory Smoked Salmon Lasagna

This tasty, refined take on classic lasagna switches out the traditional meat sauce for a rich smoked salmon and citrus-tinged bechamel sauce. It's wonderfully savory, comforting and perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients for 4 servings

Bechamel:

  • 3 cups (70 cl) milk
  • 2 oz. (50 g) slightly salted butter, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp (50 g) flour
  • 2 pinches of fine sea salt
  • 2 pinches of freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 pinches of ground nutmeg
  • ½ organic lemon, zested
  • 1 small onion, peeled and minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 oz. (150 g) smoked salmon, chopped into small pieces

Lasagna:

  • 1/2 lb (250 g) no-boil lasagna noodles 
  • 10 1/2 oz. (300 g) smoked salmon
  • 1/4 cup (40 g) grated parmesan
  • 1 1/4 cup (300 g) fresh mozzarella, cut into cubes
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Fresh dill (optional)
