Plus, it’s a fantastic way to repurpose leftover croissants into something special! Try making this the night before and toss it in just before you need it!
Ingredients (for 6-8 servings):
6 croissants, sliced into 1-inch pieces
2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
4 large eggs
1 ½ c milk
½ cup heavy cream
? cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Arrange croissant pieces and berries in the baking dish.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants, pressing down gently to soak.
Let sit for 10-15 min., allowing the croissants to absorb the custard.
Bake for 30-35 min., until golden and set. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
